The short version: this website uses Google Analytics to count visits, and you can turn that off. It collects nothing else. There are no accounts, no forms, and no ads. If you email me, I have your email.
Who this covers
This page is about zircontechconsultants.com, the website of Zircon Tech Consultants LLC. It is not about the apps linked from the home page; Bhakti Library, Japa+ and Zen Locker each have a privacy policy of their own on their own sites.
Analytics on this website
This website uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. It records the pages you visit, the site that sent you here, your browser and device type, and a general location, and it stores a random ID in a cookie (_ga) so a return visit counts as the same visitor. Google’s advertising features are off for this site: no Google signals and no ad personalization. Google’s own description of what it does with the data is in Google’s privacy policy.
The first time you visit, a notice at the bottom of the page says that the site uses Google Analytics. Pressing OK, or simply carrying on, leaves analytics on. Turn off stops it and deletes Google Analytics’ cookies, and a small cookie of our own (ztc_analytics) remembers that choice for a year. (Safari keeps it only for a week after your last visit; after a longer absence the notice will ask again.) You can change it here at any time:

If your browser blocks cookies, no analytics run at all, since a Turn off could not be remembered. A content blocker stops them too.
Email you send
The only way to contact me through this site is email. What you send arrives as an ordinary email, and I keep it the way anyone keeps their mail. I don’t add your address to any list.
Hosting
The site is served by GitHub Pages. Like any web host, GitHub sees the requests your browser makes, including your IP address, and keeps its own server logs. GitHub’s description of that is in its documentation.
Changes
If the site starts collecting anything beyond what is described here, this page and the date at the top change first.
